For over 20 years Computer Tutor has been in the business of providing its client base with systems, training, software and anti-virus and/or anti-malware protection to make their lives easier. When selecting what solutions to recommend to our clients, we test and compare everything from technical capability to business ethics, customer service, support, level of protection and user friendliness. Computer Tutor will not stand behind nor sell our clients anything that will create any confusion or issue for them or their systems.
That said, from time to time, the solutions we choose can change and become an issue in one form or another. It is for this reason, we have been testing alternative anti-virus and anti-malware solutions. We have found a solution, thanks to a recommendation on Experts Exchange, a community we have been involved in for close to 15 years. Emsisoft is our new solution and does the job of both Eset and Malwarebytes with less issues.
Beginning April 22, 2019, we will recommend and sell Emsisoft only to our home and business users. If you are a home Apple user and currently have Eset or Malwarebytes, feel free to renew those products directly with those vendors as Emsisoft doesn’t provide Apple support at this time. Business users with Apple products may contact Computer Tutor about protection recommendations.
